The Jewish Museum

Location: 1109 5th Avenue, 4th Floor, NY 10128

In partnership with Consigli Construction, we completed the renovation of the third and fourth floors of the Historic Jewish Museum, enhancing the existing architecture while introducing warm, contemporary detailing. The work balances preservation with modern functionality, creating spaces that feel both renewed and respectful of the museum’s cultural context.

Corridor
To create a more inviting transition space, the corridor features white oak wall paneling with vertical battens, adding texture and warmth while maintaining a clean, modern expression aligned with the museum’s aesthetic.

Walnut Portals
Between gallery spaces, Manzanita walnut portals offer a deep, natural contrast to the bright white surroundings, enriching the material palette

Window Niches
Throughout the corridors, we installed custom wood surrounds within the existing window niches, bringing new life to the building’s openings.

Breakout Rooms & Salon
The breakout rooms and salon are fully outfitted with all-white custom casework, complemented by white Corian countertops and open, staggered shelving. This composition continues the light, gallery-like visual language of the museum, offering bright, functional spaces for meetings, study, and reflection.
