Bestmark National is proud to showcase our contribution to the Printemps New York flagship at One Wall Street—a landmark project that blends high‑concept retail design with rich architectural heritage. Spanning over 55,000 square feet across two levels in Manhattan’s Financial District, this immersive flagship was led by Parisian interior designer Laura Gonzalez and reflects Printemps’ identity through narrative‑driven interiors and curated craftsmanship.
Our scope centered specialty surfaces across six featured zones: the Red Room, Beauty Corridor, Sneaker Room, Caterpillar Corridor, Wine Store, and changing rooms. We fabricated and installed a wide range of bespoke elements, including faceted and radius wall cladding, compound‑angled panel assemblies, built‑in cabinetry, curved display fixtures, and sculptural surfaces. Each zone required a distinct material character while maintaining continuity with the overall design palette—demanding tight tolerances, specialty finishes, and advanced fabrication techniques.
A highlight of the project is the Red Room, where vibrant resin flower and butterfly forms appear to float against richly lacquered millwork surfaces. Because the space includes historic red mosaic tilework and a 33‑foot Art Deco vaulted ceiling protected by preservation laws, we developed concealed armatures and steel mounting systems that allowed the floral pieces to hover independently of the walls and ceiling. This approach preserved the integrity of the landmark shell while achieving the immersive, garden‑like aesthetic envisioned by Gonzalez and Studio Pierre Marie.
In the Beauty and Caterpillar Corridors, we installed custom faceted millwork that required precise alignment across curved surfaces and transitions. Corridor walls were wrapped in specialty wood veneers and sculpted finishes, many of which were dry‑fit, templated, and adjusted on‑site to account for dimensional shifts in the existing structure. Custom reveals, radius details, and compound geometry were maintained across each segment—ensuring consistency and architectural rhythm through complex spatial conditions.
The Sneaker Room features layered display volumes, curved plinths, and wall treatments that combine robust joinery with soft, tactile materials. In the Wine Store, we delivered warm wood shelving systems and integrated casework that pair with up‑cycled furnishings selected by the client—requiring careful coordination of attachment points and finish compatibility with found objects and variable substrates.
Across every space, our team provided precise, high-quality millwork fabrication tailored to an environment requiring equal parts technical control and aesthetic expression. All metal structures and finishes were pre-fabricated in our shop, and coordinated to accommodate required electrical pathways during installation that we prepared and rerouted.
We are proud to have contributed to a flagship experience that reflects not only creative ambition but a deep respect for historical architecture and artisanal craft. We are proud to have delivered a flagship that feels unmistakably Printemps: daring, beautiful, and built to last.
