Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Irvington, NJ for a Finishing Associate at Bestmark National. The Finishing Associate will be responsible for staining, painting, and color matching.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Proficiency in staining, painting, and color matching
Experience collaborating with finishers for various wood and veneer types
Demonstrated ability to achieve color consistency and accurate color matches
Comprehensive knowledge of products within the finishing department
Capability to match control samples provided by clients
Expertise in sanding and surface preparation
Adherence to all applicable safety procedures and regulations
Active contribution of ideas and suggestions for health and safety enhancements
Prompt reporting of all unsafe conditions and acts upon awareness
Perform all tasks while following safe practices and utilizing proper PPE
Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the day
Execution of other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finishing Manager

Qualifications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finishing
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities
Competence in operating tools and equipment in a safe and productive manner
Physical capacity to lift 50-75 lbs; reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch
Highly motivated with the capacity for self-directed work
Understanding of client quality expectations
Willingness to work overtime as required

Estimated Salary Range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
